I Was Busy....Not In The Way People Understand!

I lied and said I was busy. I was busy not in a way most people understand. I was busy taking deeper breaths, I was busy silencing irrational thoughts, busy calming racing heart. I was busy telling myself, I have the most important world within self which needs attention. Sometimes this is my busy way.....and I will not apologise for it! #Peace#Shanti

Different Angle of life

Floating Stone!! What do you think...Is it possible?
Hint: Sometimes we need to look at life with different angles! (Upside Down)

Let Go.....

Let it go.....
Every emotions or thoughts that are not allowed to flow through you, becomes an energy blockage that can shut you down. It's necessary to let go emotions, simply for the reason that they are heavy. Most importantly, letting go negative emotions isn't a one time thing, it's something you have to do it everyday, over and over again to give yourself freedom from emotional burden and keep your emotional hygiene well.

Stress Buster #Humor

Humor is a natural stress-reducer and symptom-reliever that has been related to improved health, increased life expectancy, and overall psychological well being. Humor therapy or laughter therapy is officially both complementary and mainstream medicine—and it’s a thriving skill for healthcare, too. Research on the positive effect of humor on health and perceptions of wellness has helped to identify that laughter stimulates the immune system and counteracts the effects of stress hormones, giving a relaxation effect. Let humor be a part of your stress coping skills.
Have a humorous day!😄😄

Mental Health Awareness #Anxiety #Depression

With all the facts and information out there, with so many people affected, don't take things lightly and brush it off saying..."It's all in your head", "Don't think about it", "Just deal with it yourself", "Make your will power strong"...you can't tell just by looking at someone, what they are dealing with inside.

Awareness on Social Anxiety

Sometimes it takes only a sentence or two to get a person on the other side of anxiety. Living with an anxiety, is like being followed by a voice. It knows all your insecurities and uses them against you.... getting to a point where it's the loudest voice in the room which you can only hear.

You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.

Smile, breathe, and go slowly........

'Beat The Blues'

Many of us think about our physical health, but never really think about our mental health. As with physical health, mental health too is very important. A healthy body is useless without a healthy mind. Life can be enjoyed and problems managed with good mental health. Good mental health provides a feeling of well-being and gives us strength to face any odds. Physical health is looked after by eating the right foods and exercising. The same is applicable to keeping a healthy mind.
The food we eat gives energy to do physical and mental task.  Proper nutrition value intake boots and further improve our physical and mental health. There are various vitamins and minerals that fight ill health of the mind. For example, vitamin B12, calcium, folate, iron and omega-3 are known to fight symptoms of depression. Consuming foods high in these essential nutrients just may prevent the onset of depression. Of course, the same foods do not agree with every person. We are all different. So, one food group that works for one individual will not necessarily work for another, thus before forming a diet plan, it is best advice to have a health check up and consult a doctor on what you can continue or add in to your diet as a supplements. In the similar way having a regular exercising routine or giving time to pleasure activities helps to relax the mind and releases positive chemicals that effect our being happy such as Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins. Further to it having a good quality sleep of 7 to 8 hours helps to heal and rejuvenate the body and mind before beginning a new day and keeps stress at bay. This small improvising techniques can ensure good mental health and 'feel good' factor.

The PeaceMaker

It’s a question often asked, but rarely answered in a satisfying way...........How can I find peace of mind?
Some say peace of mind lies in security. Some say it’s about decluttering meaning removing unnecessary emotions.... people, and finding stillness and calm in life. Some say it’s about acceptance and letting go.
I say it’s all about "what you do".

You create your state of mind by the things you do, and you cement that by the things you tell yourself.
As long as I act with integrity every day, I can feel at peace with myself. Let me give you a example for it, there can be two ways for you to go ahead, one is do it the way others want you to lead your life as and try to except it with out feeling much about it internally, the second is do things your way, your responsibility and feelgood and connected with it.
Things will always change. Life will sometimes be tough. People will say and do things that upset us. That’s just the nature of life and things.
As long as we hang onto our integrity, no matter what is happening in our world, we can go to bed with a clear conscience. And no matter how tough things get, we can still have that wonderful sense of peace within us.
But it takes some practice to really start to feel it, and to live with integrity at all times. Here are some tips to cultivate a sense of peacefulness:

 Know your Inner Self
Make a list of all the good qualities you intend to cultivate, example such as  Are you going to be kinder, fairer, more tolerant, more anger free, more patient, more dignified. What are your responses to difficulties going to be? What principles do you wish to uphold?
Keep moving to next right thing.
If you’ve been struggling with your emotional or mental state, it may be difficult, at first, to act with integrity all the time. You may find yourself making mistakes and sometimes behaving in a less than ideal way. In order to build up a habit of sticking to your principles, just practice to move to the “next right thing” all the time.

Allow your self to be Imperfect
Validate the attempts of making to do the right thing if happens in  an imperfect way, when things are happening in a struggle way. The idea is to still make progress even if the attempts terns in a imperfect way.

 Repair immediately
If for some reason you end up treating someone unfairly or unkindly, or doing something dishonest or mean, make amends for it as soon as you can. Don’t wait. Correct your mistakes as soon as possible, and you can find peace of mind in the fact that you have improved upon your actions and done your part to relieve any ill feeling or guilt.

Respond in way that brings peace to you
Other people around you may not be living in the same way that you have chosen to. It doesn’t matter; they will have their conscience to live with at the end of the day, and you will have yours. Choose to respond in a way that will give you peace of mind. Take a deep breath before reacting to people who push you hard or to corner.

Remember the 3 'F'-Forgive, Feel and Free
Try to understand others rather than judging them. Forgive others for whatever they do things that makes you feel wrong, at the same time feel the emotions that you are going through. It's OK to acknowledge your feelings of that phase and free yourself from further getting into a viscous cycle of negative emotions which puts you down. Radiate compassion. Not only will others benefit, you’ll also add to your own sense of self-esteem.

 Fully Acknowledge sense of peace
You will not get to feel that lovely sense of peace if you don’t take the time to fully acknowledge it. In difficult situations, look at what you did well. If you’ve been struggling, notice when make your progress.

At the end, I would like to tag one of the quote which is close to my heart, “He who lives in harmony with himself lives in harmony with the world.”

Hope the horizon of peacefulness integrates with each of ourselves.

Embrace and Nurture Emotional Self

When we face uncertain, painful, or tragic circumstances in life, it can bring along with it sorrow, confusion, anger, pain, addictions, regret, greed, immaturity, fear, blame, shame, resentments, and suffering which are all signs of arrested emotional development. When we get ‘stuck’ in our emotional development, we cease to learn how to take responsibility for our actions and our lives. We get stuck at the point of some trauma that happens in our life that we don’t know how to let go of or to process. Out of these can rise....‘negative’ beliefs of underlying & unconscious commitment such as...... I’m not good enough, I was a mistake, I’m dumb, What a fool I am.....etc. This can make us feel miserable, ruin our relationships with others, and stunt our spiritual growth too. This can build a solid wall between us and the outer world we see, we stop working with adopting and coping techniques towards the environment we are in.

Just as physical pain tells us something is wrong with our bodies, so does emotional pain is a way of telling us all is not well with our emotional being. If we are healthy the emotional development matches physical development. I believe that we go through the emotional stages of responsibility, acceptance.... finally peace and contend. Again, although we all start at the state of helplessness and need which is when we are toddlers, these stages are not age specific. But many a times we all have come across persons who are stuck in one of this stages or so....
When we emotionally get anchored or arrested into any such feelings....we loose out the ability to see the bigger picture of the situation and have a tunnel view....making it difficult to find a solution or improvement...instead getting into repeating the same mistakes or into controlled behavior patterns.

We can over come arrested emotional, froze or fixation through restarting by learning how today's behaviors are sourced in a wound or wounds of childhood. This allows the body to back off of the adrenaline...meaning stops getting into a fight mode and the mind begins to understand "why I do the things I do" and "What I understand, I can resolve". As understanding and knowledge increases, our emotional side develops and we are able to stabilize the vulnerability of getting emotionally effecting. When we also understand what is that I can change and what we can't change it is easier to work accordingly, for example, if you see your face in the mirror and see a spot on it....but instead of cleaning the face to remove the spot..... we repeated just keep cleaning the surface of the mirror and feel that nothing is helping, how hard I try.....it is still going to be the same no matter what....in the same manner instead of understanding that it is not the people that we can change but it is ourselves that we can always work with..by stopping the blaming and regretting on what has happened...instead make the bridge between our outer self (image presentable to others) and our inner true self ( the inner child) by embracing and loving oneself. It can seem impossible but to start with the best way and a small step within is by writing messages to self and later converting it to writing a self maintained diary. It helps us to unlock our emotional fixation about past experiences, daily life situations and get into expressing emotions that we hesitate to open up with others. We can further keep adding techniques to integrate our inner child and free self from getting emotionally arrested.
This festive season give yourself the biggest gift of Freedom, Embrace and Nurture.

REFLECTION OF YOU!

Let me begin with one of my best example,
There is a story about a father and his young son who were walking through the mountains. Suddenly, the son fell, hurting his leg on a rock. He screamed, 'AAhhhh!'
To his surprise, he heard a voice repeating, 'AAhhhh!'
This made him even more curious. So, he yelled, 'Who are you?' Back came the same answer, 'Who are you?'
Feeling a bit perturbed by this response, he yelled out, 'Coward!' Back came the same reply, 'Coward!'
He looked at his father and asked: 'What's going on?' His father smiled and said: 'Son, pay attention.'
Looking across the valley, his father yelled to the mountain, 'I admire you!' The voice answered: 'I admire you!'
Again the man cried out: 'You are a champion!' The voice replied, 'You are a champion!'
The boy was amazed, but he was very confused. So, his father explained..........
'You are only hearing an echo, the sound of our voices bouncing back from the mountains.
However, this really is how life works. It returns to you what you think,
………..Say, and do!
Our lives are a reflection of our thoughts and actions. If we want more love in our world, create more love in our heart. If we want to be treated with kindness, treat others with kindness. If we want more competence on our team, become more competent.
This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life. Life will give to us, everything we give to it, only it will give us even more in return. Our life is not ever a coincidence. Each moment is a reflection of Us!'
The son listened and grew in understanding, and through the following years, he witnessed the truth of these words in his life!
'If you think you can do a thing, or you think you can't do a thing, you're always right.'
As mentioned by Henry Ford.....................
If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win but you think you can't, it's almost a cinch you won’t.
For out in the world you'll find success begins with a persons will.
It's all in the state of Mind.
Think big and your deeds will grow;
Think small and you fall behind.
Think that you can, and you will.
It's all in your state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are.
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before you can ever win a prize.
Life's battle doesn't always go to the stronger or faster one;
But sooner or later, the one who wins is the person who thinks they can.
………………..What’s your Reflection?.....................

Understanding and Dealing with Self Harm / Self Mutilation:

Understanding and Dealing with Self-Harm / Self Mutilation:
Self-harm (also known as self-injury) is when you inflict physical harm on yourself, usually in secret and often, without anyone else knowing. Examples are cutting, burning, biting or hitting or punching your body, pulling out hair or scratching and picking at sores on your skin. Self-harm is not necessarily a suicide attempt. Engaging in self-harm may not mean that someone wants to die. Most commonly, self-harm is a behaviour that is used to cope with difficult or painful feelings.
Purpose behind people's self-harm:s
People who deliberately harm themselves have often had tough experiences or difficult relationships in their lives. You may have:
been bullied or discriminated against
lost someone close to you, such as a parent, brother, sister or friend
broken up with a boyfriend or girlfriend
been physically or sexually abused
experienced a serious illness or disability that affects the way you feel about yourself
experienced problems with family, school or peer groups.
Self-harm may be used as a way to cope with experiences and the strong feelings associated with it. Self-harm may:
Provide a way to express difficult or hidden feelings: It’s not uncommon to feel numb or empty as a result of overwhelming feelings you may be experiencing. Engaging in self-harm may provide a temporary sense of feeling again or a way to express anger, sadness, grief or hurt.
Be a way of communicating to people that you need some support: When you feel unable to use words, engaging in self-harm can be a way of proving to yourself that you’re not invisible.
Provide you with a feeling of control: You might feel that self-harm is one way you can have a sense of control over your life, feelings, or body, especially if you feel as if other things in your life are out of control.
Self-harm can bring an immediate sense of relief, but it is only a temporary solution. It can also cause permanent scarring and damage to your body if you injure nerves.
Psychologically, it may be associated with a sense of guilt, depression, low self-esteem or self-hatred along with a tendency to isolate yourself from others.
Finding help
Although it may seem hard, it’s important you reach out to someone who can help you work through some of the reasons for harming yourself. Reaching out and getting support can help you find healthier, more positive alternatives for alleviating pain you feel inside. It may take time, but remember you can move to a happier and healthier outlook.
Speaking to someone about your self-harm may be difficult so do be sure you trust the person you are speaking with.
Starting the conversation
If you are having difficulty speaking about what you’re going through, try to start sentences such as ‘Right now, I’m feeling…’, ‘I think it started when…’, ‘I’ve been feeling this for…’, ‘My sleep has been…’, ‘Lately school/work/college has been…’.
It may be necessary to talk to someone like a counsellor, psychologist, or psychiatrist to help you to work through some of the reasons why you are harming yourself and to find alternative strategies for alleviating the pain you feel inside.
Like any relationship, building trust with your counsellor, psychologist or psychiatrist can take time so you need to find someone you feel comfortable with.
If there is a family member you feel comfortable telling, it may be helpful to have their support in finding a counsellor that’s right for you. The person you feel comfortable telling will already be worried about you and will be relieved at having the opportunity to listen and help.
Try to remember if you don’t get a positive response, this is not because you’ve done something wrong. It’s more likely that the person you told may not know how to respond or may not understand much about self-harm.
Don’t give up!
Either try again or maybe speak to someone else who you think you might receive a more supportive response from.
If talking about it with someone is too overwhelming, an alternative is to email or write down what you want to say.
If you or a friend are harming yourselves, take care of the injuries caused. If necessary or it'sserious, seek medical help from hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department.
In most situations, doctors and other health professionals must keep information given to them by patients or clients confidential. However, they are required to report information they receive if they have serious concerns about your (or someone else’s) safety. See confidentiality section of our website or of the place you have vistied.
Coping without harming yourself:
As well as getting some support, it may also be necessary to create a list of alternative strategies to self-harm for managing your emotions.
If you’re feeling like you want to harm yourself there are a number of things you can do to try to distract yourself until the feelings become more manageable. If you can, make sure that you are around other people and remove any sharp objects from the area.
Ideas for releasing energy or feelings
It is difficult to get strong evidence of what works for people to stop self-harming. What works for one, may not work for another. Here are some things you can try to cope with overwhelming emotions.
Choose to put off harming yourself until you’ve spoken to someone else or waited for 15 minutes (and see if you can extend it for another 15 minutes beyond that, continue to do it again and so on until the feeling passes).
Write in a journal : you might like to use an online blog.
Exercise : go for a run or walk in the park to use up excess energy.
Walk in the nature : fresh air and
Play video games : this may be a good way to distract yourself and may help until the anxiety passes.
Yell or sing at the top of your lungs, on your own or to music. You might do this into a pillow if you don’t want other people in the house to hear.
Relaxation techniques : like yoga, meditation as well as Hypnotherapy are often helpful in reducing anxiety.
Cry : crying is a healthy and normal way (not weak or stupid) to express your sadness or frustrations.
Talk to someone : talk with a trusted friend or with a psychologist or couselor.
Take care of yourself
It is important to eat well, exercise and be kind to yourself. While not a solution in itself, doing all these things contribute to a higher sense of self-worth.
They can increase mood stability, and generally create a better sense of well-being making you feel happier, on the outside and the inside.

INCREDIBLE THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS WITHIN US

INCREDIBLE THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS WITHIN US
As humans we have 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts in a single day. That’s a lot of thoughts. It’s about 3000 per hour and 50 per minute. Many times we say I have negative thought or positive thought. But the fact about thought is – thoughts are just thoughts. We can also call them as Sentences or Phrases that we say to ourselves. Thoughts are not positive or negative, it’s the emotions that we connect to thoughts are positive or negative and then our mind presumes that because of the thought I am feeling so, but it is quite the opposite. The question we can ask is, How do we know what though can trigger my negative or positive emotions? Well the answer is very simple, the “BELIEF” that we put into any thought that crosses our mind, makes it more powerful to raise our emotional area in the brain.

Becoming Mindful of is one of the best techniques to develop awareness of our thoughts and emotions, further cultivating it to our advantage. Emotional expressions such as talking to someone we trust, also activities such exercise, meditation, walk in the nature, dance, music, drawing, writing, even involving in any sort of hobby or singing out the emotions in a form of a song to yourself helps to vent out emotions.

When I was growing up, emotional expressions whether positive or negative was encouraged. This expression of emotions has motivated to understand myself better and clear my mind. Many of us implicate emotional expression in ways such as, “You should have known how I was feeling by the look on my face.” Whereas, the look on the face hardly ever changed. Some may also feel, putting on a smile before leaving the house each morning can make the day go smooth, but sometimes this bubble can be popped by the prick of a negative emotion that can rise from different circumstances that we encounter though the day or even from the emotion that we are trying to hide or done nothing which is bothering us. What comes to mind is what emotions are? How do we stop negative emotions? Emotions are often called feelings, which include personal experiences. Emotions have both Physical and mental components. Positive or negative emotions are triggered by our feelings or memories of experiences.

Sometimes we generalize happy to refer to specific positive emotions. Positive emotions have a whole range of emotions from Inspiration, Amusements, to Awe, Interest, Gratitude, Love, Joy, Pride, Serenity, Trust and Hope. These are “Wantable” states, which not only feel good but we want to feel them always. The secret is to deny their short lividness but also to find ways to increase their quantity.  That’s true for all emotions that they come and go.

About how to stop negative emotions, best way is to look at the positive side of negative emotions. Negative emotions are also necessary for us to flourish, and positive emotions are by nature subtle and momentary. Rather than trying to eliminate the existence of negative emotions, we balance negative feelings with positive ones.

Emotions tell us not just what the body needs but what we need mentally and emotionally and what our future selves might need. They help us broaden our minds and our outlook and build our resources down the road. If we focus on day-to-day feelings, we can up lift building our resources and becoming our best version of ourselves.
As I believe, we teach best what we most need to learn.
